About Us :: Staff
Adolfina Ortiz Fina has been working with the Office of Emergency Management team since 2003. After being the Staff Assistant for 4 years, she accepted the position of Disaster Volunteer Manager. In regular working hours she is responsible of coordinating the Orlando Citizen Corps and Medical Reserve Corps programs in Orlando, and provide administrative support throughout the Central Florida Region: Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Volusia counties. Also, coordinates training to prepare volunteers that are willing to help after the first 72 hours of a disaster during the recovery effort. She is proficient in English and Spanish. She has been coordinating the logistic for numerous emergency activations: Hurricanes Charley, Frances, Jeanne, Katrina, Rita, and Wilma. Fina completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Secretarial Science at Pontifical Catholic University in 1991. Also, completed a Volunteer Administrator certification.
