Severe Storm Spotter Training gives you the basic tools needed to report severe weather information and learn basic severe weather safety.
One of the most important assets to the National Weather Service (NWS) warning, forecast and verification process is the SKYWARN Spotter Network.
NWS-trained weather spotters provide real-time reports of tornadoes, hail, winds, flooding and hurricane damage.
SKYWARN spotters include Ham Radio operators, emergency responders, communication dispatchers, citizen groups and you!
An NWS meteorologist will discuss various aspects of severe weather formation, storm spotting and severe weather safety.
