OPERATIONS ON MONDAY
ORLANDO, FL
(August 15, 2004, 5:30 p.m.) Orlando City government will be open on Monday,
August 16, for disaster recovery operations only. All City employees who are
able should report to their regularly assigned work site at the normal reporting
time unless advised differently by their supervisors. On Monday, reporting time
for City Hall employees will be 9:00 a.m., unless differently advised by the
supervisor.
Employees who need child care for children aged 5 or older can bring their
children to one of the following Community Centers, which will be open from 8
a.m. – 6 p.m. on Monday offering childcare free of charge for City employees’
children: Northwest, Dr. Smith, Dover Shores and Callahan. Employees must bring
their City identification badge and a lunch for each child when dropping off
their children.
A special thanks to all city employees who have assisted so far in the relief
efforts.
Several Families, Parks and Recreation facilities will be closed on Monday
because of power outages: Lock Haven Community Center, Englewood Community
Center, Wadeview Community Center, Colonialtown Community Center, Langford
Nature Center, Citrus Square Recreation Center and Ivey Lane Recreation Center.
Leu Gardens is closed until further notice.
