Hurricane Charley Updates
August 20, 2004 11 a.m.


Ice, Water and Food - Friday, August 20

Ice can be picked up between 7am and 7pm at the following locations: ·

  • Barnett Park Administration Building -- 4801 W. Colonial Dr., Main Gate East

  • Orange Community Center -- 12050 E. Colonial Dr. (east of Alafaya Trail)

Water is available from 8am to 6pm at the following City of Orlando Fire Stations.

  • Station 4 -- 900 N. Fern Creek Ave.

  • Station 8 -- 6651 Shoalcreek Dr.

  • Station 11 -- 4911 Curry Ford Rd.
    * Water will be distributed in 6-12oz. Bottles per person

Meal Distribution

First Baptist Church of Pine Castle - 1001 Hoffner Avenue
Lunch is served from 12:00 - 1:30 p.m.
Dinner served from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.

University High School, 11550 Lokanotosa Trail
Lunch 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Dinner from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Oakridge High School, 6000 S. Winegard Road
Lunch 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Dinner from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Union Park Middle School, 1844 Westfall Drive
Lunch 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Dinner from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The Salvation Army's mobile canteen units are providing food and water at the following locations:

  • Orange County Emergency Operations Center

  • Albertson's on SR 436 and Curry Ford

  • Agricultural Center on Michigan and Bumby

  • Sam's Club at Colonial and Goldenrod

LINCARE, INC. has offered to assist any homebound citizens in need of oxygen tank refills. If in need of these services, please call LINCCARE, INC at 407-682-6644

All Orange County Public Schools will remain closed until next Tuesday, August 24.
