CITY OF ORLANDO PRESENTS
14TH ANNUAL JACK-O-LANDO’S PUMPKIN PALACE
ORLANDO, Fla. (October 12, 2004) – The City of
Orlando will host the 14th annual Jack-O-Lando’s Pumpkin Palace, a non-scary
trick-or-treating event, on Saturday, October 23, 2004, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at
the Dover Shores Community Center located at 1400 Gaston Foster Road. Admission
is $3 per person.
As part of the City’s commitment to children and families, this event provides
safe and fun trick-or-treating through themed rooms for children 11 years old
and younger. Activities include hayrides, friendly costumed characters, a
parent-child costume contest and a treat for every child participating in the
costume parade. More than 1,000 children and their families attend this annual
event.
Donations of baby items will be accepted for B.E.T.A. (Birth, Education,
Training, Acceptance, Inc.), a center dedicated to enhancing the parenting
skills of teen parents through intensive education and counseling programs.
