LOCAL CITY PARK TO RECEIVE FACELIFT FOR
CITIZENS TO ENJOY
Orlando City Commissioner Phil Diamond, District 1 to Break Ground For New
Neighborhood Park to Improve Quality of Life
WHAT: Orlando City Commissioner Phil
Diamond, District 1, will break ground at the City of Orlando’s Wadeview Park,
on Wednesday, July 20th at 10:00 a.m. to kick off the renovation of the park for
the citizens of Orlando to enjoy.
Wadeview Park, one of 12 City community projects to be completed this year, is
located just south of Downtown Orlando at the corner of Harding Street and
Summerlin Avenue, and will undergo a facelift that includes new playground
equipment, new restrooms, a new shelter, new picnic tables, benches, trash
receptacles and drinking fountains.
The work is funded through a matching grant of $200,000 from the State of
Florida with the remaining amount funded from the City’s Capital Improvements
monies.
