Hotline
The Office
of Audit Services and Management Support sponsors a confidential hotline. This
hotline is a method for City employees, citizens and other interested
parties to confidentially present a suspected incident of fraud, waste
or abuse for investigation.
A City
employee, or member of the public, who suspects dishonest or fraudulent
activity can notify Audit Services and Management Support through the HOTLINE by dialing
407-246-2678. Callers may remain anonymous.
Audit
Services and
Management Support has a policy which provides management with specific
guidelines and responsibilities regarding appropriate actions in
conducting investigations of alleged fraud and similar improprieties. In
addition, the City has a detailed Ethics Manual that is issued to all employees
to assist employees to understand it is the policy of the City to
uphold, promote and demand ethical conduct from all employees.
We encourage vigilance in both employees and citizens in their
awareness of the conditions which may allow fraud, waste or abuse to
exist in City government. Most
importantly, the policies, practices, procedures, reports and other
mechanisms should be developed to monitor activities
and safeguard assets, particularly in high-risk areas.
