Colleagues and Citizens:
Welcome to
the City of Orlando, Office of Audit Services and Management Support web site.
We hope you gain some valuable information from your visit.
 Our web site
has been designed to assist you in learning more about the function of
Audit Services and Management Support in city government. Our staff strives to add value
to the city in many ways. Our efforts are focused in several important
areas: Performance
Audits, Revenue Audits, Compliance Audits, Fraud Investigations,
Information Systems Audits, and Special Reviews/Management Studies.
I am
appointed by the
Mayor and report the results of our audits directly to him. We
follow Government Auditing
Standards and are independent of the areas that we review.
The results of our work are also reported to a five member Audit Board
which is made up of citizens. We determine the areas to audit each year
through a formal risk assessment of the City's operations that results
in an Annual Plan. Our reports are
available to you through our website.

The office is also available to the City managers to consult on internal
control, efficiency and effectiveness issues. We appreciate the
opportunity to assist managers to institute cost-effective and reliable
internal controls that ensure our city government is one of the best-run
