Adopt a Stop Program Created to Keep
Orlando Beautiful
Orlando, FL - City of Orlando Mayor Buddy
Dyer, LYNX CEO Linda Watson along with Keep Orlando Beautiful, will launch a new
program to keep Orlando beautiful. On Tuesday, March 21 at 10 a.m. in front of
Orlando City Hall, the "Adopt a Stop" program will be rolled out with the
dedication of a LYNX designed bus.
The program encourages Orlando businesses; civic groups, and individuals to
pitch in and keep LYNX bus stops clean by becoming an "Adopt a Stop" partner.
LYNX is partnering with Orlando's Keep Orlando Beautiful program, a nationally
recognized program that works to ensure public spaces are clean. Supplies will
be provided through the Keep Orlando Beautiful program.
"We are thrilled to work with LYNX on the Adopt a Stop program and I encourage
our communityy to embrace this effort, said Mayor Dyer. "LYNX has always been an
important partner to the City of Orlando, especially on programs like this that
not only keep our neighborhoods clean but also build community pride."
Partners will have their company name prominently displayed on a sign at their
adopted stops.
"The Adopt a Stop program is a great way for citizens, groups and businesses to
participate in keeping our city streets and public areas clean," said LYNX CEO
Linda Watson. "By helping us to ensure that our stops are clean and safe, the
program participants are helping improve the image of their community."
