Mayor Buddy Dyer’s Neighborhood &
Community Summit
TOGETHER: Building on Orlando’s Success
WHAT: On Saturday, May 13, Orlando residents
will join neighborhood, arts & cultural, civic, community and faith-based
leaders for the 1st Annual Mayor’s Neighborhood & Community Summit. This Summit
provides a unique opportunity to gain insight on innovative City initiatives,
discuss community-building opportunities and create partnerships that contribute
to a vibrant City.
The Summit will build on a vision Mayor Dyer laid out in his State of the City
address. The City of Orlando has seen a successful revitalization of our
Downtown core and now we are taking the toolbox of economic development
resources, and community partnerships out into Orlando’s distinct neighborhoods.
The Summit will equip residents with the tools and resources needed to
strengthen our neighborhoods.
Attendees will participate in workshop session including: Creating emergency
plans; Downtown Revitalization—What’s in it for you; The American Dream within
Reach: Creating Attainable Housing; Communication Tools to Build Stronger
Neighborhoods; Traveling Around Orlando – What’s on the Transportation Horizon;
and Quality Regional Community Venues.
