WHAT: The City of Orlando’s 3rd Annual Florida Hurricane Mitigation
Exercise brings together non-profit, faith-based and government organizations,
crisis caregivers and first responders to coordinate Florida’s resources and
services that each organization can provide to victims in the event of a
disaster.
The daylong exercise will examine a hurricane scenario and groups will
collaborate on a plan for each of the four phases of the emergency management
cycle--preparation, response, recovery and mitigation. Each group will share a
series of actions to help mitigate or minimize the impact a disaster would have
in our community.
