Mayor Buddy Dyer Appoints Brooke Bonnett to Deputy Director of Economic Development

Orlando, FL – October 24, 2006--Mayor Buddy Dyer recently announced the appointment of Brooke Bonnett to the position of Deputy Director of Economic Development for the City of Orlando. Bonnett is now one of two Deputy Directors for the Economic Development Department. With this new position, she will be responsible for assisting with oversight and management of the Business Development, Downtown Development Board/Community Redevelopment Agency and Real Estate Management Divisions. Bonnett will also oversee special City and Economic Development projects.

Bonnett has worked in Economic Development for the City of Orlando since 1998 and has served as the Business Development Division Manager since August 2004. “She has been especially successful in building strong community partnerships with many governmental agencies while implementing business development programs that have helped increase our economic tax base,” said Mayor Dyer. “Bonnett has also successfully developed many development agreements to attract companies to the City of Orlando and has been influential in preparing proposals to the City Council and business partners.”
