Mayor Dyer Illuminates Downtown Orlando
with Holiday Lights Orlando

WHAT: Mayor Buddy Dyer invites Orlando residents to join him for the
City’s newest tradition – Holiday Lights
Orlando. To kick off the holiday season, the City will illuminate with more
than 35,000 lights and a magnificent 35-foot Norway Spruce tree, the same type
of tree displayed in New York City’s Rockefeller Plaza.
In addition to the spectacular tree lighting ceremony, festivities will include
a variety of musical entertainment, a visit from Santa and holiday-themed
refreshments. Admission to Holiday Lights Orlando is free.
In the spirit of holiday giving, the City has teamed up with Doc and Johnny of
XL106.7 to support the Baby DJ Fund. Mayor Dyer has challenged Downtown
businesses to display toy collection boxes, which will be brought to Holiday
Lights Orlando. Toys collected will be distributed by XL 106.7 to local families
who are unable to provide their children with toys for the holidays.
