Orlando City Commissioner Update

January 5, 2007 – Orlando, FL—Qualifying for the District 6 Orlando City Commission seat ended today at 12 p.m. Two candidates, Sam Ings and Lawanna Gelzer submitted the paperwork to run in the February 13 special election.

The person elected to fill the permanent vacancy for the City of Orlando District 6 seat will begin their term on Monday, February 19, 2007 and end on May 31, 2008.

To register to vote, residents can visit the Orange County Supervisor of Elections Office at 119 W. Kaley Street or call 407-836-2070.
