BBA AVIATION NORTH AMERICA AND SIGNATURE FLIGHT SUPPORT TO REMAIN DOWNTOWN
ORLANDO, FL (April 25, 2003) – Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer Friday announced that BBA Aviation North America (BBA) and Signature Flight Support’s corporate headquarters will remain in downtown Orlando. The two companies, both located in Signature Plaza at 201 South Orange Avenue, recently renewed their leases for another 10 years in downtown Orlando. “The plans we recently revealed for the revitalization of our downtown fueled the interest of BBA and Signature in renewing their leases,” said Mayor Dyer. “Their commitment to downtown provides a great vote of confidence in downtown Orlando and all we intend to accomplish.” “BBA Aviation Services Group is pleased to remain part of downtown Orlando and its revitalization effort,” said BBA Vice President of Human Resources Ron Lance. “We appreciate the time and effort spent by the Mayor’s Office and Downtown Development Board to help us better understand future plans for the downtown area and their responsiveness to our questions and concerns.” “Highwoods Properties is excited to continue our long-term relationship with BBA Aviation Shared Services and Signature Flight Services in the Signature Plaza building,” said Michael Beale, senior vice president for Highwoods properties. “I am happy to keep the Signature Flight Services companies in our building, and, as a major owner of downtown office buildings, I am pleased they have made a long term commitment to downtown Orlando." BBA Aviation has been serving business, commercial and military aviation for more than 50 years. Signature Flight Support is the world’s largest Flight Support Operator (FSO) and distribution network for business and commercial aviation services.
