MAYOR DYER IS READY FOR RECALL ROUND-UP
U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission releases
 its
“Most Hazardous” list.

ORLANDO, FL (April 28, 2003) – Mayor Buddy Dyer will join the Orlando Fire Department and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on Tuesday, April 29, at 11 a.m. at Fire Station No. 1, 439 S. Magnolia Ave., to announce which products made the “Most Hazardous” list.

More than 350 defective or dangerous products are recalled each year. Despite recall notices and warnings, consumers continue to use products that have the potential to seriously injure or kill. It is very important that consumers use the list to check their homes and destroy or fix unsafe products.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission’s toll-free telephone hotline and Web site provide information about recalled products and information on what to look for when buying products. Consumers can reach the hotline at 800-638-2772 or the Web site at http://www.cpsc.gov.
