ORLANDO MAYOR BUDDY DYER TO MEET 
WITH HUD SECRETARY MARTINEZ
DURING WASHINGTON FLY-IN 

ORLANDO, FL (May 6, 2003) – On Wednesday, May 7, 2003, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer will meet with Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Mel Martinez at 10 a.m. at Martinez’s office, 451 7^th St. S.W., Washington, DC 20410. 

Topics discussed will include the Orlando Housing Authority's recent award of a $16 million HOPE VI Grant for the redevelopment of the former Carver Court apartment complex and a large portion of the Parramore neighborhood and other potential HUD partnerships with the city.  The City is a major partner in the HOPE VI project.
