COMMISSIONER DIAMOND
TO ASSEMBLE DECONTAMINATION KITS

ORLANDO, FL (May 14, 2003) -- On Saturday, May 17, 2003, at 9 a.m. Orlando District 1 City Commissioner Phil Diamond will participate with the Boone High School ROTC, Orlando Fire Department Explorers and the Orlando Fire Department in assembling decontamination kits.

In the event of an unintentional or an intentional release of weapons of mass destruction, the Orlando Fire Department will use these kits to reduce the exposure time a citizen may encounter by removing the hazard.

The materials for these kits were purchased from Commissioner Diamond’s unused campaign funds along with contributions from Orlando Regional Medical Center and the Holiday Inn at Colonial Drive and Hughey Street.
