GRAND OPENING AND NEW NAME ANNOUNCEMENT FOR NATURE PARK

ORLANDO, FL (June 27, 2003) – Mayor Buddy Dyer and District 2 Commissioner Betty Wyman will host a grand opening of Nature Park at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2003. The festivities will include a presentation by Orange County Young Marines and an announcement of a new name for this neighborhood park.

This passive recreational area has a boardwalk and trails in a natural setting. A building with meeting and catering capabilities for 50 is also available. The park will open with limited hours: Friday by appointment only, between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. To schedule activities in the park, please call 407-246-2855.

At the event, the Mayor will recognize the importance of the many Hispanic organizations that contributed in the past and will contribute to the success of the park in the future. Free food will be provided.
