FSU COLLEGE OF MEDICINE TO
LAUNCH FIRST REGIONAL CAMPUSES 

ORLANDO, FL (July 8, 2003) – Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer Wednesday at noon will welcome The Florida State University College of Medicine as it launches its first regional medical school in Orlando at 415 Briercliff Drive in Orlando. 

Orlando has selected 150 Orlando area physicians to teach eight clinical specialties:  family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, obstetrics/gynecology, psychiatry, surgery and emergency medicine, as well as a variety of fourth-year electives. 

Additional regional medical school campuses will open this week in Tallahassee and Pensacola.
