LIGHTHOUSE PARK OPENS

ORLANDO, FL (July 18, 2003) – Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and District 3 City Commissioner Vicki Vargo today at 1:30 p.m. will open Lighthouse Park.

The idea for the park evolved from within the neighborhood. Several public meetings with interested citizens helped shape the plan and on Friday, Lighthouse Park, the only park in Rosemont North, will open for residents to enjoy.

Major elements of the park include:

o ADA Accessible playground, shade shelter and picnic table
o Bench and trash receptacles
o Bicycle Rack
o Drinking fountain
o Landscaping and irrigation
o New fencing at park and around the retention pond
o Security lighting
