A HISPANIC PERSPECTIVE ART EXHIBIT CELEBRATES HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH
ORLANDO, FL (August 6, 2003) – Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, the Orlando city commissioners and the Orlando Public Art Program will host a reception for A Hispanic Perspective art exhibit on Friday, August 8, 2003, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. in the Orlando City Hall Terrace Gallery. The exhibit, on display from August 4 to September 15, will serve as a lead-in to Hispanic Heritage Month. Fifteen Hispanic artists from Central Florida and Miami will showcase their wide-ranging subject topics of the artistic heritage in Hispanic culture. The exhibition was curated by Paul Wenzel, the public art coordinator at the City of Orlando, and was organized in collaboration with The Osceola Center for the Arts. Exhibit hours are Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
