HEALTH CHECKS

ORLANDO, Fla. (February 3, 2004) – Mayor Buddy Dyer Wednesday will participate in a Senior Health Check workday with the City of Orlando Fire Department (OFD) at Hillcrest Hampton House and Baptist Terrace.

Mayor Dyer will work alongside OFD paramedics and emergency medical technicians (EMTs) to provide free blood pressure and glucose checks, as well as prescription information and medical updates, to senior citizens on fixed incomes.

The Health Check program, which serves 800 to 1,000 seniors per month, has a history of diagnosing the onset of life-threatening health problems. For more information, contact Maryalicia Johnson 407-468-3379.
