ORLANDO, Fla. (February 9, 2004) – Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer today at 9:30 a.m. will be joined by Orlando Police Department Chief Michael J. McCoy, Community Panel on Police Pursuits Chairman Stanley Stone and community panel members in announcing their findings and accomplishments.

The 18-member panel was formed in the fall of 2003 to solicit input from the community in regards to the existing police vehicle pursuit policy. The panel was tasked with identifying and addressing citizen concerns regarding the City’s policy.

Following the announcement, the new policy pursuit policy will be presented at the 10 a.m. workshop before City Council.
