ORLANDO, FL. (August 2, 2004) – Mayor Buddy Dyer Tuesday at 10 a.m. will help kick off A Gift For Teaching’s “Push For Pencils” supply drive by proclaiming the day “A Gift For Teaching’s Supply Drive Day” in Orlando.

Mayor Dyer and City of Orlando employees will then present to the organization items collected through the City’s recent internal school supply drive.

A Gift For Teaching, a non-profit organization that provides Central Florida teachers with free supplies, holds a community-wide back-to-school supply drive each summer to help stock the shelves for the upcoming school year in its free store for teachers.
