CITY OF ORLANDO’S ART EXTRAVAGANZA DISPLAYS
SUMMER CAMP PARTICIPANTS’ ART WORK

ORLANDO, FL (August 3, 2004) -- The City of Orlando’s Families, Parks & Recreation division will host the 11th Annual Art Extravaganza and Ice Cream Social for its summer camp artists on Saturday, August 7, 2004, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Orlando City Hall rotunda.

The event concludes the summer camp pottery and art programs held in the city’s community centers, as well as the clay camp at the Downtown Pottery Studio and the KidStudio at Langford Park Neighborhood Center.

The art show, which features the work of more than 200 children of all ages and cultural backgrounds, gives the participants a great sense of pride and accomplishment to see their work featured in a gallery setting. The art will be displayed Monday, August 2, through Saturday, August 7, 2004.
