ORLANDO, FL (November 23, 2005) – On Monday, November 28, 2005, Mayor Buddy Dyer
will work-along with the DDB Maintenance crew for holiday planting and hanging
holiday decorations along Orange Avenue.
In preparation for the holiday season and the first Holiday Lights Orlando at
City Hall Plaza, the Mayor and City Staff will plant poinsettias in planter pots
and decorate the Lymmo station at the intersection of Orange Avenue and Church
Street.
History of Work-Alongs
As part of Mayor Dyer’s commitment to providing citizens with the high quality
service they have come to expect, he participates in monthly work-alongs with
various City staff. In the past six months, Mayor Dyer has conducted walking
audits in Downtown Orlando with transportation planners, worked with Code
Enforcement Officers, went door-to-door with Orlando Police Officers delivering
valuable City information to residents in the Parramore Heritage Neighborhood,
assisted City staff with hurricane relief efforts and sprayed aquatic weeds with
Public Works employees.
