September 11, 2003

An American Bald Eagle, our national symbol
representing courage, might and freedom.

Families of Maria Isabel Ramirez and Joseph Patrick Henry were recognized at the ceremony.

Maria Isabel Ramirez was a dedicated young professional, who lost her life in the 90 West Street Building south of the World Trade Center.

Joseph Patrick Henry, affectionately known as “Joey”, was a brave, rookie firefighter on Ladder 21, who went into the tower with his lieutenant to save lives.

Many Orlando residents shared in this solemn remembrance.

Orange County Chairman Richard Crotty and Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer join in the Pledge of Allegiance.

The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and the Edgewater High School Concert Choir performed together for the day's ceremony.
