The Orlando Downtown Wireless District Pilot Project provides free Internet access in the downtown area (see map).


Commissioner Daisy Lynum, Mayor Buddy Dyer, and Commissioner Patty Sheehan were at Lake Eola on Wednesday, January 14 to announce the pilot project.


Commissioner Sheehan assists Mayor Buddy Dyer in unveiling the splash page of the Wireless District.


To demonstrate the wireless connection to the Internet,
Mayor Buddy Dyer held an online chat with Howard Middle School students.


Students asked several questions, including if he would do a lot of his work in the park now.
