November 16, 2005

Police Chief Michael McCoy joined Mayor Dyer and Commissioner Lynum at the official opening of the new
1,248 sq. ft. Orlando Police Department sub-station at
the CityView development in Parramore.

The new office has improved technology capabilities so that officers can serve the citizens of Parramore more efficiently.

Additionally, Chief McCoy and Mayor Dyer rolled out the zero-tolerance signage initiative signifying the commitment to eliminating prostitution and drugs in Parramore.

The Public Safety Pathway encompasses the Orlando Police Department’s Community Policing Division and the City’s Code Enforcement Division.

Both of these divisions are working to reduce crime and code violations in Parramore by adding Code Enforcement Officers and by assigning Orlando Police Officers to build relationships with residents, business owners and key stakeholders.

See additional information on Pathways for Parramore.
