Funding for Neighborhood Projects - Mayor's Matching Grant Spring Application Deadline is Friday April 19, 2013
City of Orlando neighborhood organizations may apply for a Mayor’s Matching Grant to address physical improvements, public safety, or educational and cultural projects and programs that benefit their residents and enhance the quality of life in their neighborhood. Grant funds are matched dollar for dollar by the applicant using a combination of cash, volunteer labor and/or in-kind donations of goods or services. However, in order to take advantage of this great opportunity, there are some requirements and guidelines to follow. Mayor's Matching Grants - Making a Difference
Mai Kai Condos recently completed work using a Mayor's Matching Grant to help solve a drainage issue by installing large bricks. The project had more than 80% of the residents helping out with either labor, cash donations or providing food. It was their first time applying for a Mayor's Matching Grant and the process went so smoothly that they have already applied for a second grant this fall.
