Which Employees Are Covered?

If you are an employee who receives a W-2 for tax reporting purposes, you are generally covered by the aforementioned laws and may file an employment discrimination complaint with the OHR.

Which Employees and Activities Are Not Covered?

a. Contractual employees (receives a 1099 for income tax reporting purposes).
b. Political affiliations.
c. Union activities.
d. Personality conflicts.
e. Unfairness.
f.  Unemployment compensation.
g. On-the-job injuries.
