  1. Apparatus Demos

    Experience personal interaction with Orlando Firefighters and a look at the fire vehicle. Request an apparatus demo.
  2. Books and Badges

    Orlando firefighters in partnership with the Early Learning Coalition read to dozens of students in more than 60 Orange County Public Schools as part of the Books and Badges program.
    Once a month, firefighters read new books to kids ages 0 - 5 as a way to promote early literacy, as well as introduce our youth to fire safety information, such as how to make an emergency plan and dialing 911.

  3. Fire Safety Presentation


    • Offered to home owner associations, civic organizations, etc.
      • 45 – 60 minute presentation on topics:
        • Home hazards
        • Importance of smoke alarms/maintenance
        • Exit drills in the home
        • Fire safety tips


    • Presentations vary according to the ages and group dynamics.
      • School:
        • Firefighters give fire safety presentations to elementary school-aged children in two parts:
        • The first 30 minutes of class, firefighters, equipped with their gear, teach key fire safety lessons and emphasize that firefighters are their friends.
        • The second 30 minutes consists of an engine demonstration.
        • Groups are preferred (25 children or less).

  4. Juvenile Fire Setter Intervention

     Our mission is to identify offenders and at-risk children and engage them in fire prevention education and intervention services. Juveniles are entered into the program voluntarily or through mandate. The Juvenile Fire Setter Intervention is held Quarterly.
  5. Take Heart Orlando Hands-Only CPR

    Learn how to save a life in 30 minutes. Our hands-only CPR and automated external defibrillator training, combined with strategic AED placement and the PulsePoint mobile app technology, empowers citizens to recognize and treat sudden cardiac arrest.
  6. Station Tours

    Take a tour of an Orlando Fire Station. Learn about the station engines, equipment like the jaws of life, medical equipment, uniforms, fire communication systems and where fire fighters spend their spare time at the station.
