First Responder

This course instructs public safety personnel (and Emergency Care Responders-from CERT) who may arrive first to medical emergencies in Basic Life Support (BLS) techniques. Training will provide public safety personnel with the knowledge and basic skills necessary to recognize when a citizen is experiencing a medical emergency, activate the Emergency Medical System, conduct an initial and secondary surveys and provide a formal report of the victims condition to arriving Advanced Life Support Personnel (ALS).
