City of Orlando Hosts
Swim Meet at Engelwood Neighborhood Center
|
WHAT: |
The City of
Orlando Families, Parks and Recreation
Department’s Recreation Division is hosting a
swim competition for the City’s community
centers’ after-school program participants. The
program is called Orlando After School Is Super
(O.A.S.I.S.), and the four week long swim
program is one example of the many types of
activities children can join in. Children from
Community Centers across the City in the
O.A.S.I.S. program will be competing. This
commemoration of the end of the swim season for
the program will be followed by a celebration
with food and entertainment.
The
after-school program O.A.S.I.S. is for youth
ages 5 to 10 that provides supervised activities
for elementary school age children. Children can
have access to opportunities such as the swim
teams as well as computer labs, game rooms,
cultural arts, pottery, puppetry, arts and
crafts, dance recitals and field trips to local
attractions, football, and basketball games.
For more information on the swim competition
please contact Tyrone Walker at (407) 246-4282,
and for further information on O.A.S.I.S. please
call (407) 246-4300.
