Youth Share Art at the City of Orlando’s Art
Extravaganza

WHAT: |
The art of Orlando children will be on display
at the City’s Art Extravaganza on Friday, August
14, 2009 at 7 p.m. in the Orlando City Hall
Rotunda. This event features the artwork of
summer campers from all the City’s community
centers. Join the event to enjoy the art, snack
on ice cream sundaes, and meet some of the young
artists
The City of Orlando’s Recreation
Division offers a safe and affordable summer
camp program for elementary and middle school
age children. This five-day week program at 16
City recreation centers offers a diverse array
of activities, such as swimming, crafts, outdoor
activities, nature programs, exciting field
trips, computer labs, cultural arts and special
events. Sites may offer different activities
according to the interests of the children who
participate in programs. Children can have
access to opportunities such as the swim teams
as well as computer labs, game rooms, cultural
arts, pottery, puppetry, arts and crafts, dance
recitals and field trips to local attractions,
football, and basketball games.
