Free Orientation for the
City of Orlando’s New Beach Tennis
|
WHAT: |
Beach tennis
is coming to the City of Orlando, and this new,
fun sport can only be enjoyed at Bill Frederick
Park at Turkey Lake. Play next to the beautiful
lake, meet new friends, and form leagues by attending the
free orientation session on
September 19, 2009. Orientation participants
will have the opportunity to learn about league
rules and regulations, sign up a team or add
players, and meet and play with other people
interested in the sport.
The City of
Orlando’s Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake is
a premier recreation and park facility with
something for everyone to enjoy. Open
year-round, seven days a week, this 300-acre
park also offers disc golf, fishing, hiking and
biking trails, picnic facilities, camping, and
playground. For more information on the City of
Orlando’s Families, Parks and Recreation
Department offerings, please visit

Mayor Buddy Dyer
announced the Strengthen Orlando initiative in
his State of the City address. As part of the
Orlando Cares pillar of the initiative, the City
is working to match individuals and families
with low cost programs at City parks, camp
grounds, playgrounds, community centers, after
school programs, summer programs and summer
camps.
To register for the orientation
session or for more information on signing up a
team, please call Joey Puleri 407.257.9644 or
