Regional Center

The Dr. James R. Smith Neighborhood Center offers something for everyone as well as an amphitheater that is great for community performances. Come over and enjoy our game room activities that included: ping-pong, bumper pool, swimming pool, chess, checkers and card games.

Programs:

Advanced Teen Program (ATP): This program is designed for 9th - 12th graders as the next step after the Middle Teen Program; It provides young adults with college and work force awareness through regular meetings, SAT and ACT preparation, financial aid seminars, college tours to nearby colleges and universities, job fairs, career exploration, community clean up, fundraisers and field trips

Computer Lab (all ages): Challenge and increase your computer knowledge, work on tutorials, homework or resumés

Midnight Basketball (16 and up): Participate in fun basketball hoops on Saturdays from 8 pm - midnight

MTP (Middle Teen Program) Club (ages 11-14): Mon – Fri, 2: 30-5: 30 pm - Provides homework and computer lab assistance, arts and crafts, access the gymnasium and other organized activities, including intramural sports

Orlando After School Is Super (OASIS) (ages 5 - 10): Mon - Fri, 2: 30 pm - 5: 30 pm - After school program for youth provides supervised activities for elementary school aged children; Children can have access to computer labs, game rooms, cultural arts, pottery, puppetry, arts and crafts, dance recitals and field trips to local attractions, football, and basketball games

School Vacation Daze (5-14): Are you wondering what to do during school holidays? Well, we have fun activities for you! Enjoy crafts, outdoor activities, game rooms, and much more during the traditional school vacation calendar year, Register at site prior to school the holidays
