Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Commissioner Stuart Host
Open Completed Park System in Baldwin Park

WHAT: |
On Saturday,
Mayor Dyer and District 3 City Commissioner
Robert F. Stuart will officially open the final
section in the 175-acre public park system in
Baldwin Park.
Harbor Park, along with
Blue Jacket Park, Lake Baldwin Trail and the
Central Florida Veteran‘s Memorial Park, provide
outdoor amenities for exercise, recreation and
relaxation with facilities for baseball,
basketball, soccer, tennis, track & field,
serene natural settings, and more than 6.5 miles
of trail to walk, run, bike or rollerblade. The
parks will be dedicated to the 650,000 recruits
who were stationed on the site when it was the
Orlando Naval Training Center from 1969 to 1997.
Since 2003, Mayor Dyer has opened or
renovated 50 parks, ball fields and community
centers, building on the City’s 1500 acres of
park and community space.
