Tour de Trees
Andy Kittsley has been a rider on the Tour de Trees for the
International Society of Arboriculture since 1997. Each rider is
responsible for ensuring $3500 of contribution per rider for the
Tree Research Fund which funds research for trees.
The ISA Research Trust was established in 1976 to provide a
reservoir of money from which important research could be funded.
Overseen by a Board of Trustees, the mission of the Trust was to
"identify significant environmental, biological, social and
economic needs of arboriculture and urban forestry, including tree
genetics, management and care; and provide funding for innovative
basic/applied research and education projects." |
