Need to green-up your home?  Need some shade?  The City of Orlando wants to help you build and maintain a healthy urban forest.

The Parks Bureau has two tree-planting programs: one for individuals and one for neighborhood groups or associations.  Check out the details and apply on-line.

Trees In The Parkway
Available to individual homeowners. Trees are planted in the Parkway (right-of-way) along the City street. City determines most appropriate tree for location.  Owner must agree to water, feed and care for tree until established.  Free, no cost to homeowner.

Trees To Good Homes
The “Trees to Good Homes” program is dedicated to greening the property of homeowners within the City of Orlando. The City will work with neighborhood groups to help select the right tree for the right spot by giving an opportunity to purchase trees at wholesale price to plant on private property.
The minimum order per delivery is 15 trees.

Neighborhood groups are asked to help organize citizens who would like trees, assist in raising funds to buy the trees and be willing to plant the trees.

Trees will be available in two sizes: 15 gallon, 6’-8’ tall, about 40lbs, approximately $50 each; or 30 gallon, 8’-10’, about 125lbs, and approximately $100.
