College Park Community Center History ●
Highlights:
The College Park Community Center is located on the corner of
Elizabeth Avenue and Rugby Avenue. Construction started in late
2004 and was completed in late 2005. The center design emulates the design of Princeton Elementary School and
boast the newest gymnasium in the City of Orlando. The fitness
center is equipped with state of the art workout and cardio
equipment. This Community Center also includes a computer lab,
men and women's locker rooms, multipurpose room and a
warming kitchen close to the multipurpose room and game room.
The outdoor amenities include a baseball field, swimming pool, open
green space, a playground with large shade trees, benches, and a large pavilion nearby.
Programs:
Adult Programs (ages 18 and
older): Fitness Room Memberships and Gymnasium
Memberships.
Badminton:
Classes are on Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 2 to 5 p.m. Cost is $5 per class, or $30 month membership.
Camp Orlando Summer Camp (ages 5 - 14):
a safe and affordable
summer camp program for
youth. This
five-day week program at 16 City recreation centers offers a
variety of activities, including swimming, crafts, outdoor
activities, nature programs, exciting field trips
(additional expense), computer labs, arts and crafts, and
special events. Sites may offer different activities
according to the interests of the children who participate
in programs.
Daily Activities:
(all ages) The Computer Lab and Game room are free for
public use and are closed to the public during
after-school and
summer camp program hours.
Fencing Program:
Children (ages 3-11) Mondays, 6 p.m. - 7 p.m., Adults (all
ages) Mondays and Thursdays, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., Great
for all ages and levels.

Cost is $7 per class
Karate: Karate
for all ages, Kick Boxing Aerobics 15 and older. Tuesdays and
Thursdays: Karate 5:30 p.m. and Kick Boxing Aerobics 7 p.m. Cost $25
per month.
MTP (Middle-School Teen Program)
(ages 11 - 14):
A diverse teen program for youth in middle school. The program
features computers, homework assistance, workshops, regular
meetings, service projects, game room activities, art, field trips,
and athletic activities. Youth will have opportunities to
develop leadership skills and gain cultural diversity awareness
through MTP activities.
OASIS (Orlando After School Is Super)
(ages 5 - 10): An after-school program for youth ages 5 to 10 that provides
supervised activities for elementary school age children. Children
can have access to opportunities such as homework assistance,
computer labs, game rooms, cultural arts, pottery, arts
and crafts, dance recitals and field trips to local attractions,
football, and basketball games.
Senior Programs (ages 55 and
older): Mon Wed Fri, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Provide
a wide variety of activities to facilitate health, social
and lifelong learning skills.
Rentals and Public Use:
College Park Community Center offers certain rooms within the
facility for rent for events such as birthday parties, meetings,
showers, and so on.

Multi-Purpose Room - $50 per hour - Capacity 85 persons.

Warming Kitchen - $15 per hour - Capacity 15 persons.

Gymnasium (sporting events only) - $65 per hour - capacity 200 persons.

Park Pavilion - $30 daily.
Rental Policy and Procedures

$100 Damage Deposit Required. Deposit will be refunded 4 to
6 weeks after rental if no damage was found after the
rental. Insurance is not refundable and prices range from
$31 to $80 and will protect any injuries that may
happen during the rental.

No Alcoholic Beverages allowed.

All rentals must be scheduled 14 days prior to event.

All rentals must be paid in full at time of booking.

Rentals must be cancelled at least 72 hours prior to event
to receive a refund.
Public Use
-
Fitness Center memberships
are available at daily, monthly, six month, and annual
rates. For more information, call the Center.

Game Room and Computer Lab are open to the public at no
charge during operational hours.

The Game Room and Computer Lab will close for the
OASIS
and MTP after school programs from August through May from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Monday through Friday.
