Mayor Buddy Dyer Invites Orlando to Celebrate 4th of July at Lake Eola with Fireworks at the Fountain

WHAT: On this patriotic day, more than 100,000 people are expected to join family, friends and Mayor Dyer to celebrate Fireworks at the Fountain in Downtown Orlando. For the 29th year, Fireworks at the Fountain brings excitement to all ages at Lake Eola Park. Festivities began at 4 p.m. with 2 stages of live entertainment, children’s activities in the Nemours Children’s Area and Orlando Fire department demonstrations.

At 9:15 p.m., Mayor Dyer will kick off the unique fireworks display featuring more than 5,000 “booms” spanning over 20 minutes to commemorate the 2006 Fourth of July celebration. Attendees for Fireworks at the Fountain should arrive early to reserve their spot around Lake Eola to view the City’s firework display.

Mouth-watering and affordable 4th of July cuisine will be available throughout Lake Eola Park including BBQ, turkey legs, gyros, hamburgers, sausages and curly fries. Tasty carnival-style food will also be on-hand, such as, kettle korn, cotton candy, sno-cones and ice cream. There will also be two beer gardens hosted by 903 Mills Market featuring a variety of beverages for those ages 21 and up.
