Vote for a City of Orlando park project to win $20,000
The National Recreation and Park Association is collaborating with The Walt Disney Company and the National Recreation and Park Association, to revitalize parks across the U.S. Through Meet Me at the Park! One of three local parks will receive a $20,000 grant and you get to choose which one!
From April 1 until April 30 Orlando residents can help one of three park projects receive $20,000 in grant funding. Anyone can vote daily by text (Standard message and data rates may apply) or online at NRPA.org/BeInspired. The projects are:
- New fitness equipment at Al Coith Park to provide aerobic exercise and core muscle strengthening. Vote for this project by texting alcoith to 35350.*
- An accessible fitness trail at Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake to give everyone an opportunity to work out in the fresh air and natural surroundings. Vote for this project by texting billfred to 35350.*
- Renovation of the outdoor basketball court, upgrade of the baseball field and updated multiuse field for use by the girl’s lacrosse program athe the Jackson Neighborhood Center. Vote for this project by texting jhjackson to 35350.*
