Red Cross swim lessons are being offered at all four City of Orlando year round aquatics facilities. There are morning and evening opportunities and each course is comprised of eight 30-minute lessons from instructors. Lessons are scheduled between 8 am and 10 am as well as 5 pm and 7 pm Monday through Thursday.
Courses are offered in four age groups:
Water Babies – 6 months to 3 years old
Pre-School – 3 years old to 5 years old
Youth – 6 years old to 17 years old
Adult – 18 years and over

Courses cost $40 for city residents and $50 for non-residents. This opportunity is free for those who qualify for community support.
Online registration is available for courses at College Park Pool, Dr. James R. Smith Pool, Wadeview Pool and Dover Shores Pool.

For those who already know how to swim the City of Orlando Aquatics Department has an instructional non-competitive swim team where stroke refinement, teamwork, self-reliance, and fun are taught to participants. This program is designed for children ages 6-16 years old. In order to register, participants must be able to swim 25 yards without stopping. Morning and evening practices are available.
