The
Facts about
Orlando
Neighborhoods and Associations
The City of Orlando has over 115
City neighborhoods. These neighborhoods, with their individual
boundaries, were developed by the City after many years of study.
Although they do not always match what some residents may call
"their neighborhood" they are still a good source. It would be more
appropriate to refer to these as City Neighborhoods.
City Neighborhoods are made up of
Residential, Commercial and Industrial neighborhoods. Many of the
Residential City Neighborhoods are made up of either Neighborhood
Associations (N.A.) or Home Owners' Associations (H.O.A.). Also,
homes that are built in the same area by the same builder are
referred to as Subdivisions. Many people refer to their H.O.A., N.A.
or Subdivision as their neighborhood. As far as the city is
concerned, there are only three types of neighborhood designations.
-
City Neighborhoods
-
H.O.A. and/or N.A.
-
Property Subdivisions
