The State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) ProgramThe City of Orlando receives its local housing allocation from the Florida Housing Finance Corporation once its Local Housing Assistance Plan is approved, pursuant to Section 420.9072, Florida Statutes. Funds received in addition to program revenues and interest earned, are deposited in the City’s Housing Trust Fund. The funds will be distributed as prescribed in the Plan. The City of Orlando’s Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP), (Plan or LHAP) sets forth the City’s strategies and criteria for administering the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program for the three years. The current Plan covers fiscal year 2006-2007 through fiscal year 2008-2009.
