Eligibility Requirements
The following requirements must be
met in order for the Housing and Community Development Department to
provide assistance under the program administration guidelines.
The following requirements must be
met:
Location - Property must
be located within the city limits of Orlando. You can check to
see if your property is located within City limits by visiting
www. ocpafl.org/searches/address_form.html or you may call (407)
246-2708.
Property Ownership - The
property must be owner –occupied. You will need to provide a
copy of your deed. Mortgage and property taxes must be current.
You will need to provide mortgage statements and proof of paid
taxes.
Homeowner must have a current
home insurance policy on the residence.
Income Verification - Your
income must be within the limits specified by the United States
Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). You will need
to provide income information for all members of the household.
Self employed applicants must provide profit and loss statements
and/or a signed copy of your last year tax return.
DEFERRED LOAN
The amount of assistance that a homeowner qualifies for is
determined after the applicant and the home have completed the
qualification process.
Once the amount of assistance has been established, the homeowner
will enter into a deferred loan agreement with the City. A lien
between 1 and 15 years will be recorded on the property depending on
the loan agreement amount.
