Housing & Community Development

FY 2010-2015 Consolidated Plan Survey
City of Orlando Residents

We are facing challenging times in the housing market. City of Orlando residents are losing their jobs, condominiums are reverting back into the rental market, construction of single and multi-family homes have decreased, rental vacancy and foreclosures have increased and funding from the federal government is diminishing.

As a result, the Housing and Community Development Department is requesting your assistance in filling out this survey. Your input will help us to determine our community’s priorities and impact how federal dollars are spent to benefit low to moderate income families and neighborhoods in the City of Orlando for the next five years.

We are also hosting an Affordable Housing Focus Group on April 7 at City Hall, 400 South Orange Avenue, 9th floor, in the Overlook Room from 9 to 11 a.m. During this meeting, the focus group will discuss the requirements of the Consolidated Plan and the affordable housing needs in the City of Orlando. Your input will help to prioritize the housing needs of the City. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Frances De Jesus by email at frances.dejesus@cityoforlando.net or by phone to 407.246.3413. Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Lelia W. Allen
Director, Housing and Community Development Department
