How to Apply and Clerical Testing

First time users must register to use our system. You may accomplish this by selecting ‘Login’ and then ‘Register to Apply Online’ to submit on current job openings or interest cards.

In order to register, you will need to have a valid email address to receive your login information to access our system. Free email accounts can be acquired from many sites, including gmail, yahoo.com and hotmail.com.

Current Registered users please ‘Login’ to access your Employment Profile. If you encounter difficulty, retrieve your password to access your account. Do not create duplicate profiles.

Clerical Testing: Tests are administered only when positions advertised require the test. Tests are administered at the Human Resources Division on the first floor of City Hall (400 South Orange Avenue, Orlando). All tests must be completed by 4:30 p.m. and accomplished by the job closing date. NO appointments are necessary.

In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the City will provide reasonable accommodations to individuals for testing. Arrangements for accommodations may be made by contacting 407.246.2235, prompt 1.

Typing Tests: Applicants are allowed two opportunities to pass the typing test within a posting period or any given 30 days. An applicant will be given only one typing test per day. Scores are valid for one year.

Paper Applications
While online applications are preferred, paper applications for current vacancies are accepted during the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Applications and resumes are accepted if delivered by 5 p.m. or postmarked no later than midnight on the closing date for the position.

A separate application must be submitted for each position. Each application or resume must include the position title and requisition number of the position for which you are applying. Applications without a requisition number identified will not be considered for City vacancies.
